Today we went to the Beaver Marsh. I didn't see as many birds as I would have liked to but it was still very beautiful. I think this is my favorite place of all the trail heads. It reminds me of my father as it is the last place I was able to take him and my mother to hike. It reminds me of him.
We then went to Botzum, which is a little south of the Beaver Marsh. I hadn't even gotten out of the car yet . when Gigi said she saw something flying in the sky. I did not get excited and was sure it would be a turkey vulture. But she thought it might be a bald eagle, and turns out that she was right. What a site to behold!It flew above our heads and we both got some really nice shots. I was very pleased with this day overall and ended up getting some other nice bird shots.
